The art of jury selection is difficult to master. Over the years, the tenor and scope of jury voir dire has evolved, with new thoughts about jury selection and psychology. ABTL’s July 15, 2008, lunch program will present a highly experienced panel, who will provide a lecture and jury selection demonstration. The program should be of interest to the new and seasoned attorney.
The topics and demonstration will include a review of pertinent statutes, court rules and judicial administration standards; jury questionnaires; pretrial conferences; time limits; judicial questioning; appropriate attorney questioning; objections; challenges for cause; peremptory challenges; alternate jury selection; Wheeler motions; and much more.
