The High-Profile Criminal Trial of Former Autonomy Corp. CEO, Dr. Mike Lynch

The ABTL Northern California Chapter invites you to a compelling CLE program offering an in-depth discussion of the 2024 high-profile criminal trial of Dr. Mike Lynch, former Autonomy Corporation CEO.

Dr. Lynch, who was tried and acquitted of wire fraud charges stemming from HP’s acquisition of Autonomy Corp., faced charges of inflating his company’s value.

This program will be moderated by:

  • Josh A. Cohen, Partner at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP

The discussion will provide insights directly from three of the key players involved in the trial:

  • Charles R. Breyer, who presided over this complex and closely watched case.
  • Robert S. Leach, Assistant U.S. Attorney who prosecuted the case (now a judge for Contra Costa County Superior Court).
  • Brian M. Heberlig, whose firm, Steptoe LLP, represented Dr. Lynch.

The session promises to be an invaluable learning experience for legal professionals interested in high-stakes business litigation, corporate acquisitions, and the complexities of trying a technology-related criminal case before a jury in the Northern District of California.
